Creating consistently strong theatre through the Geelong Region
About CentreStage
“Do you hear the People Sing?”
We live and breathe our values every day. That's how we create consistently strong and inclusive theatre.
Our aim is to create inspiring projects that foster new talent and develop skills. As Australia's Largest Amateur Musical Theatre Company, we meet the needs of Victorian creatives and listen to what our audiences are excited by.
We are driven (mission statement) by a desire to provide access to the Arts, through theatre and education to as many people in our community. CentreStage supports the inclusion of all people and offers opportunities to access the arts outlined in our “We Are People Plan”. We consult within community and Government forums to help us improve and set new benchmarks as a Geelong business. We are clever, creative, and connected.
Welcome to CentreStage, Australia's premier theatre and education provider. Since our inception in 2010, CentreStage has been dedicated to fostering the performing arts while maintaining a strong sense of community involvement. What started as a small idea with big dreams has now grown into one of the largest theatre and education providers in the country.

At CentreStage, we pride ourselves on our commitment to inclusivity and diversity. We are owned and managed by a person with a disability and LGBTQIA+ community, and our management team includes individuals who identify as First Nations and represent various minority groups. We believe that everyone should have access to the performing arts and strive to make our productions and classes as inclusive as possible.

Our passion for the performing arts shines through in every production we put on. To date, we have produced over 70 shows, including such standouts as We Will Rock You, Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Puffs, and Singin' In The Rain. Our productions have been enjoyed by audiences of all ages and have received critical acclaim.

In addition to our productions, CentreStage offers a range of educational programs designed to foster creativity and develop performance skills. We offer classes for all ages and levels, including musical theatre, acting, singing, and dance. Our experienced and talented instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.
At CentreStage, we believe that the performing arts have the power to change lives. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting out, we welcome you to join our community and experience the magic of theatre.

At CentreStage we value new ideas, innovative team members and outcomes that will drive our team to become a truly iconic organisation that benefits the entire Geelong community. At CentreStage we continue to celebrate the stories that educate, entertain and inspire us; just as the Wadawurrung people have done for thousands of years.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility is outlined in our We Are People Plan. The framework draws on the values and introduces cultural characteristics and indicators that anchor our people’s everyday experiences and interactions. This plan has encouraged and supported the following areas within our organisation
1. Reducing carbon footprint
2. Engaging in charity work and regular donations
3. Purchasing local
4. Investing in environmentally conscious strategies
5. Improving industry wages and rewarding staff when achieving targets
6. Comprehensive mental health commitment for staff, volunteers, performers, students
and families
Our CSR strategy enables us to build a strong relationship with families, and the community and ultimately do better each day.

CentreStage is driven by a desire to provide access to the Arts, through musical theatre, to as many people in our community as possible. As an organisation, we support the inclusion of all people and offer opportunities to various community groups to access the arts and attend our productions through support of charitable organisations. This includes local community services providers, such as Gen U, supporting people with disabilities and people in aged care facilities to attend productions, along with local schools, clubs and community partners.
