CentreStage Students Return to Geelong Arts Centre in 2025 with “Passport to Broadway”!

Mark your calendars! On December 13, 2025, CentreStage’s talented Junior, Middle, and Senior Troupes will take the stage at the iconic Geelong Arts Centre for a special one-act production titled Passport to Broadway. This 90-minute showcase will be a vibrant celebration of musicals set in diverse countries and cultures, bringing together the spirit of global storytelling through song and dance.

A Journey Around the World Through Musical Theatre

Passport to Broadway promises to be a mesmerising journey through musical theatre classics that spotlight the rich tapestry of cultures and communities worldwide. Featuring hits from shows will transport the audience to far-off lands and weave together stories that celebrate resilience, connection, and the power of music.

“This showcase encapsulates everything we strive for at CentreStage—fostering a sense of community, celebrating diversity, and helping students build confidence through the arts,” said David Greenwood, Managing Director of CentreStage. “It’s a true celebration of their talent and hard work throughout the year.”

This performance marks the final opportunity for CentreStage students to shine in 2025. It’s the perfect culmination of a year brimming with creativity, hard work, and passion following their musical productions in October and November.

Your Passport to Performing Starts Here

To participate in Passport to Broadway, students must be enrolled in our Saturday Education Program. This comprehensive program nurtures budding performers, offering them the tools, guidance, and support to excel on stage.

“We’re not just teaching musical theatre; we’re teaching life skills—teamwork, dedication, and the joy of storytelling,” Greenwood added. “Being part of this showcase is more than a performance; it’s a milestone in their creative journey.”

“Watching our students step into the spotlight is the most rewarding part of what we do,” Greenwood shared. “This night will be a reflection of their dedication, resilience, and creativity.”
