Exciting News: Come From Away Lands at CentreStage in March 2025!

CentreStage is thrilled to unveil the exciting news of our upcoming production of "Come From Away," set to grace the stage of the Playhouse Theatre at the Geelong Arts Centre from 7th March to 22nd March 2025. This monumental achievement marks a significant milestone for both Geelong and CentreStage, as we proudly secure the theatrical rights to present the Geelong premiere of this celebrated musical.

With the invaluable support and participation of original cast members Jenn Colella and Chad Kimball from the Broadway production, alongside Jonathan Andrew Hume from the UK West End cast, we are honoured to bring this extraordinary story to life on our stage. Their involvement adds an unparalleled authenticity and depth to our production, enriching the experience for our audience.

"Come From Away," with its book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, is a heartwarming and uplifting tale inspired by the true events of 11th September 2001. Set in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, the musical explores the remarkable acts of kindness and humanity that unfolded when 38 planes were diverted to the town's airport, stranding thousands of passengers. Amidst fear and uncertainty, the residents of Gander open their hearts and homes to the "come from aways," forging unexpected connections and enduring friendships in the face of adversity.
