CentreStage is thrilled to bring the award-winning musical Pippin to life this August in a bold and immersive new production, staged locally in the heart of North Geelong. Featuring a vibrant cast, inventive direction, and spectacular choreography, Pippin will invite audiences to step inside the story like never before.
This unforgettable musical tells the story of a young prince, Pippin, on a journey to discover the meaning of life and find his own “corner of the sky.” Torn between adventure, love, glory and the ordinary, Pippin must decide what truly makes life extraordinary. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) and a book by Roger O. Hirson, Pippin blends whimsical storytelling, dark comedy and dazzling theatricality.
Directed by: Michele Marcu & David Greenwood
Produced by: Brett Greenwood
Choreographed by: Chloe Lewis
Vocal Direction by: Leticia Bayliss
“Pippin is more than just a musical — it’s a mirror to our modern lives. In a world obsessed with perfection and spectacle, it reminds us that the most magical moments are often found in the ordinary. I can’t wait for audiences to experience the magic we’ve created.”
Michele Marcu, Co-Director
“This production of Pippin is a going to bold, joyful celebration of talent, raw humanity, and pure theatricality. Every detail — from casting to choreography — has been built around community and connection. I’m immensely proud of what this team has achieved in casting the show.”
Brett Greenwood, Producer
“We’re reimagining Pippin as an immersive theatrical experience. Audiences won’t just watch this story unfold — they’ll feel like they’re part of the troupe themselves. To create something of this scale in North Geelong with so much emerging and established talent is a dream come true.”
